I'm outside eating lunch and I happen to notice two squirrels scurrying about on the grass eating and foraging. I looked a bit more closely and noticed one is actually a baby, or more like a juvenile, as it's about half the size of it's mother. The little thing is so cute climbing on it's mom's back and pestering her. The more I studied this beautiful scene I came to realize something is wrong with the baby. It's back legs don't seem to work and it's just pulling it's little self around by it's front paws. I became a bit sad for the poor little thing but the more I watch, the more I realized it's getting around just fine and doesn't seem to give a **** it's back legs don't work.

I don't know why I'm telling you all this.

Thanks for telling us about it TDTAT. Your story about the baby squirrel who is disabled is sweet and touches on something I have been thinking about for a while in regards to a friend. The point being, the baby squirrel is living a happy life, even though disabled, so there is no need for pity.

What a heart felt story. Thanks for sharing. The most excitement in my back yard was a frog...lol and that was years ago.

Lovely story , so glad the little squirrell is getting around ok . Makes us all realize we can do sso much more than we think we can
