My Mom gave me this advice when I had my first child. "Your children won't remember how clean you kept the house or whether the dishes are washed but they will remember the time you spent with them, playing, reading to them, just talking." And you know what, she was right. My kids and now my grandkids don't remember that I kept the house clean but they do remember walking in the woods and playing. That is the best advice I ever got.
