Today, Thomas, my husband of 17 years was diagnosed with acute, advanced glaucoma in his left eye, making him legally blind in that eye, with advanced glaucoma in his right eye. He is a painter, wallpaper hanger, a master at his trade, and he may not be able to work here in the next few years if the disease progresses too far.
He is a proud man; he loathes being pitied, but if any of you can offer up a prayer for him, I know God will listen, because I still need him so badly; he got me through the last four years of mourning and grieving the loss of our son, David, in fact his love has kept me on this planet. And now it is time to pay him back for his loving loyalty to me, so I ask my friends, and all other kind souls who read this, to please say a prayer for him.

NLN May the Lord touch and heal your husband, and may the Lord strengthen and comfort you. Just so you know, there are many, many prayer sites online where people pray all day long for others. I have put many prayers on them and have received positive results. Just go to a search engine and put in prayer request, then follow the links.

Thank all of you! I'd like to add that we found out that this started when he had been hit in the eye in a fight, 35 years ago, when he was still in his bad-boy stage of life. More importantly, this could have been prevented with a simple glaucoma screening; going to get an eye exam from an optometrist does not find it.
So, I beg you all to have this simple test done, so none of you will find out years from now that you have glaucoma and could have prevented it.

Heavenly Father, You are intimately aware of the struggle Thomas is experiencing -- the pain and the despair. You know the desire of his heart to be healed of this illness. I ask now for Your healing touch. I know that You are able and that just like in Bible times, You can heal him.
