After winning over $5200 at This is Vegas casino, I was devastated to find they had voided my $4500 withdrawal and the balance of the winnings in my casino account. Having received no explanation, I thought it was a mistake until Live Support informed me the winnings had been voided due to "multiple" accounts and other accounts "linked" to mine. I've been an avid gamer on the internet since they started and well aware of the standard terms and conditions whereby management reserves the right to void winnings for multiple accounts. I thought this was a new casino and don't remember having ever registered there before, but if so it was an honest mistake with no fraud or account abuse involved. When this happened at a Microgaming casino a few years back, they paid the winnings and closed the duplicate account -- no big deal. Although I have deposited and played at several Rival casinos, this was my first cashout from one of them. Has anyone run into this before with a Rival casino or have any suggestions? I will appreciate help or guidance -- or a shoulder to cry on -- from you fellow " No Luck" gamers out there. THANKS!!

jackpotjanet, Hi! Sorry!
This is Vegas has been around sice 2006 or early 2007.
The only instance I have heard of people not getting paid is actual fraud or multiple accounts. You could send me your account name and I could get the details maybe.
I hate that this happened, but every online casino has to protect itself from fraud, there is no way to get around that.
The best thing to do is keep a list of casino accounts you have made or at least ask the casino if you already have an account before you make another.
If you just had 2 accounts and played and won with no bonus they
probably would have payed. I am guessing you probably used
a big first deposit bonus (twice) and won.

I had a problem not too long ago where I attempted to cashout from another Rival was told that I was linked with multiple accounts, I didn't open multiple accounts, so I got in touch with the casino manager and found out that my sister had used my computer on a couple different occasions and accessed some of her accounts from my PC and IP address. I sent in ID documents proving my ID and address and the casino also requested my sister send her documents in to prove she lives at a different address, once we sent in documents they were understanding and let me have my withdrawal, they did not have to do this, because the terms and conditions were violated, when she used my computer. Now my sister doesn't touch my computer, when she is at my home. Maybe someone has used your computer, or you opened an account a long time ago and forgot about it? If you sent an email to the casino manager maybe you can find out more about what is going on. I hope you get things straightened out. Good Luck.

What gets me is that they let you deposit all you want and then if you win, they stab you in the back. As far as I'm concern that is not fair either.

I think This Is Vegas has a history of locking accounts and voiding withdrawals for a stupid reason or no reason at all...which is why I don't deposit there anymore.

Hello! This is in the casinos rights. We can not fault a casino for protecting itself from someone who has made 2 OR MORE accounts. This player admits they opened more than one account at least plus
they did it for a Microgaming casino also.
We can not forget there are MANY players who are out there who actually commit fraud.
I am not syaing this player did it on purpose, but remember there are
whole forums devoted to cheating online casinos.
There are thousands of players who try to cheat.
As I told this member, I am happy to get the details and try to help,
although there is not much I can do here.

I understand fully what you are saying, When my ordeal happened I didn't expect to get my money because the terms and conditions were violated, but they worked with me, and I am grateful that they did when they didn't have to. I learned a valuable lesson in my case, never let someone else use your computer to log onto their account, or never use someone elses computer to log onto your account.

ROXY is right the only time they complain about multiple accounts or fraud is when they are asked to give you something. It would be easier to understand if when you hit the deposit button they said , "oh, wait a minute, you have duplicate accounts, we can't accept your money" but they don't and that makes you wonder how honest a casino really is.

That is a good lesson, but just something like that is usally not going to get winnings voided, as you found out personally.
That is sort of my point. The casinos do not just void any winnings
when they suspect fraud. They actually investigate and look at what happened.

That is something that they do. that is how so many people
get "blocked from bonus". There is a list of players that commit fraud
and get blocked instantly. BUT- players are smart. They use a
different name or their husbands name to make a 2nd or 5th
account and get by the instant block. Also non fraud players get on the same list by mistake sometimes.
people would freak out and say the casino was crazy.
In fact some Rival casinos have blocked deposits before (until docs were sent) and members did freak out and
not understand.

i am so sorry to that they wony pay you,i opened an acct with tiv and probly deposited for a year or more and got great promos.on my birthday they gave me a free chip for 75$ and i wound up cashing out like 5000 dollars not to mention about 1000 in comp points which i played with for some time!! i went through the whole document deal and waiting about 10 days but they paid me!!! after that they locked my acct from recieving any freebies or any n/d bonuses.and when i went to chat and asked why they said flat out they dont have to tell me why they reserve the right to revoke when they like without giving a reason to the player.i am not mad they are still a great casino just play by the rules and DONT try to cheat them because they will catch you and you will pay in one way or the other!!!!!!

I have been unable to dl and actually run any Rival software since they all did their upgrades over the last year - until tonight - after I read somewhere about them giving a $500 ND chip (for new sign-ups only) - so I thought, what the hell. It opened right up -wierd huh? Ended up where I had opened an acct back on 12-2006.
Anyway - I am so excited I can play at a Rival if I want but now I am freaked out about playing at TIV after reading all of this. I know I do not have multiple accts with them but just the same - some casinos just do all they can to get out of paying.
If anyone has some good - or bad testimonials about TIV I would appreciate it -- before I make my deposit.
Thanks.
And, sorry you didn't get your winnings. It really sucks to win that much - be so close to it and then lose it. I sypathize with you.

Thank you all so much for sharing your experiences, suggestions, and support. I have emailed casino management asking for their reconsideration based on the facts that if there are multiple/linked accounts, I have not benefited from them in any way; this was my first cashout from any Rival casino; there was no fraud or promotional abuse to obtain the winnings; and there has been no account abuse with any of my accounts with the casinos where I have deposited and played recently. I don't know if it will do any good, but I'm hoping they will at least give me the opportunity to answer any questions and and provide documentation to clear this up.
I know one thing -- I have learned my lesson the hard way about keeping track of my casino accounts!!!!

My account name is lucky-jh. I will appreciate any help you can give me!!! I'm getting no where with them. They claim I have FOUR accounts at their casino and that is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE!! When I ask them for the names on the accounts, they claim they can't provide "third party" information, which leads me to believe that its linked, rather than multiple, accounts. With the amount of winnings involved, it's hard for me to just take their word for it without any proof that any "multiple" accounts exist -- and impossible for me to accept that four accounts exist. Something is terribly wrong here, and I will appreciate anything you can do to help me get to the bottom of it. Thanks!!!
