Well I had a heart attack last Tuesday, 13 days into the new year. I had 3 stents placed in my arteries and other than being sore in the groin area I feel fine.
I made it home on Saturday and I have been resting.
And I am glad to be alive!
So if you made a resolution to quit smoking, QUIT SMOKING! The heart attack is PAIN!!!
Glad to be alive

dawnfix, my cardiologist suggested that I start using Chantix but I have heard that nightmares are a possible side effect and I dont think that my weak heart can take the stress

kushfoot, so far I have not had any dreams. I was warned that it could cause vivid dreams and hellacious nightmares as well. But for me it has caused nothing except being sleeping. It can cause drowsiness which at night is a good thing since I do not sleep well. All in all it is doing ok. And even after the first week it is starting to help me. I noticed that I am not smoking as much. Doctor said to smoke like I normally do so it can target all the areas that think it needs the nicotine to survive and I have been but noticed the past two days that I have really slowed down! I am so happy I cannot wait to kick it for good!! God bless you in your healing!
