The nicest thing I've ever done, I'll continue to do and that's never to see a homeless person, or anyone on the street that needs help, without giving them a few dollars. I had a "regular" in Hawaii. An older, homeless woman who for some reason always wore all white, lived in a city park down the street from us. 2 or 3 days a week I would see her walking around the neighborhood and I would always give her $ 5.00. It made my day to see that big smile come to her face when I'd pull over in my car, chat a bit and give her "lunch money". I always think "there but for the grace of God...."
when I see someone down on their luck, so I help as much as I can.

My brother once worked at a car dealership and one day he asked me if I could give two Canadian truck drivers who had made a delivery a ride to the airport- I was reluctant at first but they really didn't have any other way so I decided to help them out.

Thanks NLN and Slot-to-Cash for this great contest.

I just try to be a good person and would prefer not to brag about any good deeds I may have done. Thanks anyway

I think the nicest thing that I have done is help my daughter with her baby girl when she wwas born. There were a lot of sleepless nights, but I wouldn't have wanted to miss even one of them. My daughter didn't feel good a lot of the time and her husband worked nights, so I got to spend a lot of time bonding with my grandaughter! She just turned two, so we still have a lot of time left, but it seems like she doesn't need me quite as much anymore. I have 3 grandchildren and I think it is a joy to help out with any of them whenever I can.

hmmm, the NICEST thing, well I guess that would depend who you ask. smile. I mean, like I do things for people, and sure they'll or someone else may say, "that was nice." I myself could not say what the nicest thing is. I have let people come in live with me in my home, until they got on their feet. I have fed the hungry, given clothes to those in need etc. , I've even walked away from $12 in a nickel slot at the casino, and let the Woman play it out, she was telling her friend she just lost all her money, now granted my ride was ready and I still had the 6,000 I had just won from the dollar slot!!!

oh well i wil stop rambling, a little hard to answer this one with out sounding all "dogoodish" smile, hope I did not come off sounding like that! have a good day all, and keep up those good deed!!! smile

My second husband and I were going to end our marriage after 13yrs. Due to the fact he had cheated and got a sexual disease. He moved out after 6months he showed up at the front door. He had been to the doctor and had been told he had ALS and they gave him a 2year time frame to live. I didn't believe him at first but it was true. He wanted to come back home. I let him come home. We have three children together and I believed that they should have that time with their father. Anyone that knows anything about ALS knows what a battle it is. I keep him at home thur the whole ordeal. A month after the 2year date he pasted away. Total care of him was hard but we got thur it. I know I turned the other cheek on what he did to our marriage but I gave my children what time he had left. It was sad. Nerak1

Let's see......

Most recently-
While waiting in line at the "UPS" store, I overheard an elderly woman
that was in front of me, complaining to the guy that was working there.
She was upset because they did not have her postal information on file,
and she needed to fill out a new form in order to send her package.
She was telling the guy, about how her vision was bad and would not be
to fill out another form successfully.
So, she stood to the side, waiting for all the customers to leave....
Talking out loud about how she has lived in the same city, with the same
telephone #, so why wouldn't they have her info..... and so on.
So.... smile
I offered to fill the form out for her.
She was so happy!
And, yes... she went on about the contents of the package!
It was a Graduation gift for her Grandaughter.

She said something to me, that made me feel good...
She first asked me if I still have my Mother..... and I said, yes.
She then said,
"I want you to tell your Mother, that you helped out an old lady today"

Something else that happened more recently... like yesterday!

I thought this was nice of me-
I did not inform the guy that was in front of me, at the grocery store,
in the "15 items" or less line....... smile that he had 27 items!

(That pissed me off!!)

LOL THIS IS GONNA SOUND REALLY STOOPID BUT This kinda goes along with the best advice you've ever given contest thats closed now but I'm not gonna post it cause that totally defeats the purpose of doing it... CAUSE THEN I WOULD BE TRYING TO GET SOMETHING FOR DOING OR GIVING SOMEONE SOMETHING AND MY ADVICE IN THAT OTHER CONTEST WAS DONT GIVE OR DO THINGS FOR OTHERS EXPECTING TO GET SOMETHING BACK FOR DOING IT.... So maybe Ill still be included in the contest for this comment but if not it's okay and understandable but it goes against the whole reason I do the things I do for other people LOL

Like I said before I said it I know that sounded dumb but thats just my own opinion on things of that nature smile
Good Luck everyone in the conest all and hope you all winning lotsa loot somewhere!
