I VOTED FOR HERO (Yellow Lab)


Hero visits patients at hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, and other health facilities as part of the Paws Patrol.

Few would suspect that the lovable Lab with a gift for sharing began his career when he was adopted, underweight and injured, from a local humane society.

Hero’s empathy and unconditional love have inspired “Project Hero” — a program that teaches young people in a regional youth detention center to care for, train, and socialize homeless pets to make them more adoptable.

Along the way, the young people come to see the value of all living things and get in touch with their own humanity. After receiving his certificate for completing Project Hero, one young man hugged Hero and announced that he planned to seek a career with dogs and would always be kind to animals.

Quanto got my vote...I saw dogs like him in action in Gulfport, MS after Katrina....I truly appreciate what these dogs do, both for victims and for the families who are looking for them...

I also voted for HERO, my son is disabled and he used to have one dog that just made his day, he no longer has a chance to be with therapy dogs I just know it did help him...

I just voted for Polo,but they are all great dogs.Would love to bring Polo home,reminds me of our police dog that died saveing us from intruders.He gave up his life for us and served on the police force for three years.Dogs are wonderful,full of love and always there.....Dinky49
