I like Stawberry banana smoothies for breakfast...
Put 1 (or 2) bananas and a few cups of frozen stawberries and fresh orange juice in a blender. Blend until very smooth.

No ice is needed if you use enough frozen strawberries. If you want a creamier smoothies you can use milk instead of OJ.
For thicker smoothies use less OJ and more berries.

You can also add blueberries or raspberries.
Healthy, yummy and refreshing!

**For an adult/night time version - Use fresh pineapple, frozen strawberries, OJ and malibu rum (no banana). Makes a great frozen drink. smile

This is just super delicious on a hot afternoon or when friends drop by:
Singapore Sling Slush

(heat 4 cups of water and 1/2 cup sugar to dissolve)

12 oz. lemon gin
1/2 cup cherry brandy
1/2 cup Grenadine
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 small frozen lemonade
6 oz. cherry juice
1 - 19 oz. pineapple juice

Mix altogether and freeze. When needed, fill glass 3/4 of slush and add 7 up and a cherry. Mmmmmm

mine doesnt have a name, but i get raves about it often.... depending on people you are serving ( me, typically 4) . one box of Herb and Butter angel hair pasta mix. Prepare as box says. I like alot of pasta so i make an extra pot of just angel hair. I cut up some chicken breast into pieces, and cut up marinated artichoke hearts with juice and sautee them in a big skillet until; chicken is done. be sure to use the juice from the marinated hearts in with the chicken. That flaviors the meat but doesnt over power the dish. once meat is cooked, i add a small bag of frozen mixed vegetables to the meat and artichokes, and cook until all veggies are warm. in a big bowl i will add my plain angel hair to the mix angel hair and toss till all is coated. i then add all contents of skillet to the pasta and again toss. throw some french bread with it and some lemonade and dinnier is served.

Grilled Garden Veggies Prep/Total Time: 30 min.

Ingredients
•2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
•1 small onion, chopped
•2 garlic cloves, minced
•1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed, divided
•2 small zucchini, sliced
•2 small yellow summer squash, sliced
•1/2 pound medium fresh mushrooms, quartered
•1 large tomato, diced
•3/4 teaspoon salt
•1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions
•Drizzle 1 tablespoon oil over a double thickness of heavy-duty foil (about 24 in. x 12 in.). Combine the onion, garlic and 1/2 teaspoon rosemary; spoon over foil. Top with zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms and tomato; drizzle with the remaining oil. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and remaining rosemary.
• Fold foil around vegetables and seal tightly. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 15-20 minutes or until tender. Open foil carefully to allow steam to escape. Yield: 8 servings.

one of my favorites from back in the seventies was a no cook salad or desert whatever you prefer to call it, i knew it as" watergate salad". It is so simple its amazing:

one box of pistachio pudding
one container of cool whip
one can crushed pineapple
i jar marachino cherries (sp]

Just throw it all together in a bowl, mix, chill, EAT.

ITS EASY, QUICK, SO GOOD I COULD EAT THE WHOLE THING BY MYSELF, NOTHING TO CLEAN REALLY, AND ITS REFRESHING. A SALAD OR A DESERT IN A FEW SECONDS.

smile SUMMER BERRY FIZZ smile Put the 350g raspberries, strawberries, lemon zest and caster sugar in a bowl and crush with a potato masher. Add the vanilla pod, mix well and leave for 2 hours until the fruit starts to become really juicy.
Cover the fruit with the vodka, mix well, cover and chill for at least 3 days, or until needed.
Strain the vodka through a fine mesh sieve then decant into a clean bottle. Pour a measure of the vodka into a tall glass, add a few fresh raspberries, blueberries and the slices of nectarine. Top up with chilled cava or soda and ice to serve. Tastes fabulous but do be careful if you use any more alcohol - its potent stuff! we found asti spumanti took the edge off the vodka OH YEAH smile

My mom would make the a similar recipe like this and and green dye and call it 'Green Stuff'. Or one without pistachio with red dye and call it 'Pink Stuff'. Great recipe, tracersmom! smile

how about an angelfood poke cake ??

ONE ANGEL FOOD CAKE
ONE BOX JELLO, (ANY COLOR)
LG CONTAINER COOL WHIP

prepare jello as usual but DO NOT CHILL YET, poke holes in your angel food cake, pour warm jello liquid over it slowly until it is absorbed. frost all over with cool whip!! chill in refridgerator until jello sets up
you can serve it on a plate pre-sliced or garnish the top of your cake and serve it
note: I think it is one of the easiest cake recipes ever, it was my grandfathers
very favorite, I THINK YOU'LL LIKE IT MMMMM !!!!
