I like to roll my clothes when I pack. This helps prevent wrinkling. smile

italianponies, No, like a tip. Something you have learned to do when traveling that others may not know. It could be a place though... maybe somewhere you have visited that not many people go to.

A secret of mine is to never check bags on a plane. I use a carry-on and fit everything by using spaces saver vacuum bags. smile

"You should always carry a copy of your passport when you travel, but more important is keeping that copy safe. In the event your bags are lost or stolen, what are you going to do if your passport is in the bag? Keep a copy of your passport in the sole of your shoe. Most tennis shoes have removable inserts -- tuck the copy of your passport under the insert and go about your merry way. You won't lose your shoes if you're wearing them, and if you're robbed in a foreign city, the mugger won't go after your tennis shoes -- so you'll still have a copy of your passport."

Prowan52, I read a good one about passport copies... take a picture with your camera before you leave home and load it into your emails... there are internet cafes all over the world, so it would be easy to retrive, espcially if you loose your bag or it is stolen! smile

the copy thing does not apply in my case as i had for years now at least 2 passports or even 3 (right now) due to my frequent travel. They fill up so fast with visas and customs stamps that i hardly have one for more than 12 months smile

my best travel tip is to learn always a few words of the local language of the country you are traveling too. It is amazing what wonders a thank you or hello in local language can do

the best soup in the world i had - in Korat, Thailand from a food stall of a very old lady costing 25 bath, appr. $1

the most amazing food i had - in Saigon, Vietnam in a small backyard restaurant sitting on small chairs that my knees were nearly up to my chin.

the best bar i went to - the "Moon Bar" on the 61st floor of the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok, fantastic views of Bangkok at night with great drinks and food.

the strangest restaurant i experienced - Chelyabinsk, South-Siberia, Russia - winter with -40 degrees C outside and the food was served by girls in bikinis. You can guess how the food looked like on the plate smile

the quietest place in the world i have been to - Parl River, near Vanderbijlpark, SouthAfrica, just a few miles from the city in the nature reserve park you think that time has stopped and the only noise you hear is nature

Happy Travels
Harry smile

In order to keep contents from coming loose in your luggage, place the contents in one ziploc bag, then put the sealed bag into another ziploc bag upside down and zip it closed. You've got a double lock and stuff can't come out.
