I was playing at Club World Casino at a tournament, Crystal Waters. A screen came up and said I had won a Random Jackpot of $6796. I completed playing the tournament round. When I finished I went to the regular screen and it did not indicate there had been a change in the amount of money in my account. I am currently on hold waiting for live help. I think the money should be mine. I paid to get in the tournament, therefore, I was playing with money. What say you? I tried to copy the jackpot screen, but it went away too quickly for me to copy it.
Maria, from Club Casino @ 888 671 2855 said that if you win a Random Jackpot during a tournament, you do not get paid for it. She said this was listed under Terms and Conditions. I am going to check this out. It really does not seem fair.
OK, I checked under Terms and Conditions @http://clubworldcasinos.com/TermsOfUse.aspx?Curr=USD and failed to see where tournament play excluded the winning of Random Jackpots. Maria said she is checking with her manager and will get back to me by email.
This is sucky so far.

CoraBets, Hi, you do not get a random jackpot win if it is hit during a tournament... sorry. Happened to another member at inebet a few weeks ago. I am sure this is written in the tournament rules. Tournament play is not real money play.

TDTAT, putting on my hat from my Business Law Classes, I paid to enter the tournament, therefore, I was using CREDITS purchased with my own money. It is understood that the person with the most ending credits wins that tournament, but that is only considering credits, not Random Jackpots.

CoraBets, I do not have the rules... ask the casino. I know it sucks for you but like I said, you do not win the random jackpots if you are in tournament play.
Yes you paid to enter the tournament, but tournament play is not the same as real money play... just like if you hit $100,000 in the tournament they do not pay you $100,000, they pay the place you win in the tournament..that is just the way it is. Trying to get a random jackpot payout would be like trying to get the chips paid you finished the tournament with paid... you only win the prizes offered in the tournament.
If it was up to me you would get it, but it is not up to me... ask the casino if you do not believe me.
joker05 made a big post about this several weeks ago... happened to him for $5300... he did not get paid the random jackpot.

I see you added a link to he general terms in your post but as you may have seen, none of the tourney rules are there.

I feel your pain Cora, but think about it from a different point of view... Club World has penny tournaments where you get $5000 chips for a penny... would it really be fair to pay random jackpots to people who get all those chips for 1 cent? That would not be fair to all the other players betting cash at $2 a spin or whatever.

TDTAT that's where Maria said the rules were, that's why I added the link. I saw no rules there, NOR have I seen tournament rules anywhere.
With Inetbet, I can see them worming their way out of it, because they are pretty much tight-fisted and a budget sort of casino. Club World, on the other hand, seems to be a more generous venue, and much classier.
In any event, they should have come up with the rules and wrote them down and made people acknowledge them before entering a tournament.

CoraBets, Ask them to email you the rules and tell them they should add the rules to like you suggested... sounds good to me and I will suggest it also.
Like I said I wish for your sake it was not like this but I am sure it is the same at every single RTG casino running tournaments. Class has nothing to do with it in my view... tournament play is not the same as betting cash and it is probably a rule for all RTG software casinos.
As an RTG cash player I would have a different view... if I played slots I would think it would be unfair for someone who paid a penny for $5000 chips to be able to win random jackpots.

TDTAT, I paid $1, not a penny. Besides, if gamblers didn't look for something for nothing, they wouldn't be gambling.

As disappointing as it may be, it is clear cut; By definition of chips, their denomination, and 'tournament play' all prizes won during a tournament hold value only in relation to the tournament standings.... Therefore, when you hit the random jackpot, you were awarded that many tournament points were you not? And these points and their addition to your total improved ur standing in the final tourney standings, did they not? If in fact they did, you were paid. Congrats!

Another time I was playing for free, no money involved, at one of the RTG casinos and hit a Random Jackpot. Of course, I didn't get to cash out that one.

while you are talking about Random Jackpots a lady, quoted as Mrs. P from Australasia, has won on 29th August 2010 a 4.1 Mio US$ Random Jackpot on the Mega Moolah Summertime Slot at Spin Palace Casino (Microgaming). Now that is a blast!!!
That is certainly life changing for her
This is the second highest jackpot within the Microgaming Network after a Greek guy won 6.3 Mio Euro Euro last year.
I, personally, don't understand why random jackpots are even active during tournaments, if they are not paid. This way RTG casinos don't have to pay up and the balance of the jackpot is reset to the initial start value... nice SCAM i would call that

Harry_SIN, I would imagine they add the random jackpot hit during tourneys back... if not I see why they have tournaments.
