Jackpot, there is nothing offensive at all. I am the type of person that thinks the worse, to prepare myself. I also feel that it will have the reverse effect and things will work out. At times like this you start questioning things. Like, is God watching over me? I am catholic, and believe in God, but I guess it is natural to start second guessing.

Incidentally, I live in Mass. I believe there is a family sick act here also, actually I thought it was a federal law. God bless you for being able to take care of your parents and your brother. I don't have the strength. Maybe because I know my husband is there to pick up the pieces. I am the type of person that feels if I turn away and not look, things will go away. How silly, I know. But unfortunately, this is who I am.

I so appreciate you taking the time to write and explain alot of things. I am sure I will be PM ing you in the future. This is all new right now, and I am just trying to adjust mentally.

Again, thanks again so much for all the effort you put forth. And God bless you for all you do for your family. Whether you believe or not, there is a special place for you in the afterlife.

I'll be in touch......

RGLAP, the family leave act is wonderful!!! Once you fill out the papers and give to your employer they are good for one year! Some people just need a few days, some a few weeks and some need a few days here and there. Our daughter has one in place because of her son. In her case she needs a few days here and there and when he has required hospitaliation she has been able to take the time to be with him. Her job is not in jeopardy and she can concentrate on the problem at hand, get it handled and then return to her job. In fact, it was her employer that suggested that she have her son's doctors fill it out last fall. It's been a gift from "God" in her case.

Just know that you and your mom continue to be in our prayers, I'm here if you need to talk etc. Sometimes it's easier to share with someone who is not so close to the situation. PM me anytime.
