They say always play with the money you have after all bills and groceries and done. Know when to quite, know when to leave, and always have a set limit. I for one has somewhat a gambling problem, cause I never leave when I'm up or until I'm broke. I know what my problem is but I still do it all the time. That's the gambling problem I have and much more but it's a long story so I'll just leave it as. I'm o.k. when I don't have any money to play or even if I do, if I just stay away from Casino's I'm Okay.

Worse part is, I work in a casino.

Doyzluck, it's called Compulsive Gambling. It seems like no matter how much money is won, the gambler will not stop until the money has dried totally up. Playing the money back and losing it all. Even cancelling cashout requests in order to have more money to spend. It's the thrill of the game. I have the same issues, except, I do not work at a casino.

My addiction has created quite a few problems for me, even after extensive counseling. Although, I must admit, the one on one counseling really helped and it's not quite as bad as it was. We have a program here through a medical university with outstanding professionals to assist with various addictions, and it's free to participants. The State picks up the tab because they have poker/slot machines in just about every restaurant, tavern and bar in this State.

In order to stop gambling, you have to make your ownself stop. That's kind of hard to do when it's so enjoyable for you. It's like video crack. Hang on in there. Set goals for yourself like if you don't gamble, you get to buy yourself something special. Think of money in terms of what it can buy. For example $50 doesn't seem like all that much. But it will feed you for a few days, whereas, $50 gambling can be gone in less than 5 minutes.

Hang on in there, better days are ahead.

this advice is a bit late (about 30 years late!) for me-i have been gambling as far back as i can remember(I know for sure at 8 years old my sisters and I would hide in the back corner of the MGM (where Bally's is now!) and play the slots!!!!!!!
