Tend to carry travelers checks instead of cash, and most importantly do not carry money of any sort in one area.
If you have a waller, place some in it and the rest in your handbag, etc. This way if something goes wrong, you are not without everything

Am leaving Sep 17 for an approx 6000 mile roundtrip jaunt; wife and dog-daughter Maggie will be my travel partners; have already checked ahead for pet friendly motels along our route. Take fresh water and pet's regular dog food so as not to upset the pet. She's just a little girl but will stop frequently so she can exercise. Wife is also taking a rolling pin to beat me up if I don't want to stop for her every potty break. Sounds like a great trip huh?

When Traveling by car always take your own pillows, comforters,toilet paper,first aid kit and plenty of water.You just never know.

ALWAYS go to your bank or RBC has a great Travel Health Protector. YOU neve know!!!! Also Vacation rentals are a great option, because you'll be staying in close proximity to the locals, so make sure you take advantage of this and make friends with them. The locals will give you the best advice on where to eat and shop.
