When I was 9 I found $10 at a local drug store. Now, this was huge because we were rather poor. I spent 2 hours in that drug store looking at dolls, and books, just imaging all the possibilities that that $10 could afford me. In the end I ran home and gave it to my Mother. I rarely saw tears in her eyes - but I did that day - and its a day I'll never forget.

i went to a casino, lost all my money, and some old lady drops money on the floor. i wanted to take it and keep so bad but i just couldn't do it. i tapped her shoulder and said, "excuse me, you dropped your money."
She picked it up and didn't even say thank-you. I mean, gosh! Can you imagine being broke at a casino... see someone drop their $.... giving it back and not even get a thanks? Mann, i was even more mad at myself that night. 1.for losing all my $ & 2.for giving the money back.

The nicest thing Ive done lately is while I was at the casino boat
The lady next to me dropped a wad of $100 bills. She didnt know it,
so I picked them up and handed them to her. Needless to say she was
very happy.

I did get a thank you. If someone found my money on the floor Id
definetly give them at least money for dinner. I didnt get anything for
the $400 I found but I know it was the right thing to do

I think the nicest thing that I have done is help my daughter with her baby girl when she wwas born. There were a lot of sleepless nights, but I wouldn't have wanted to miss even one of them. My daughter didn't feel good a lot of the time and her husband worked nights, so I got to spend a lot of time bonding with my grandaughter! She just turned two, so we still have a lot of time left, but it seems like she doesn't need me quite as much anymore. I have 3 grandchildren and I think it is a joy to help out with any of them whenever I can.

the greatest gift a new mother could ever have, is HER mother!

, i remember my mom did the same for me, when my youngest was born, she is 6 now and they are still very close. My mother has 11 children and 30 grandchildren. thanks for sharing that story and reminding me of my mother

Something else that happened more recently... like yesterday!
I thought this was nice of me-
I did not inform the guy that was in front of me, at the grocery store,
in the "15 items" or less line.......
that he had 27 items!
(That pissed me off!!)
lol... funny. I must say on sunday, the nice lady in back of me, had no problems telling me.. "you have more than 10 items" so i kindly what items i was unloading and moved to the line next to that one... you know that super duper long line...

i don't even know why i tried to do that, but your story is funny.
