Hey there,

I'm a NEWBIE here, not quite sure if I can use this forum as I am. Guess I'll find out...
MY dilemma : I'm able to download & install all the Rival casinos but when I double click on desktop icon or casino exe file to open, nothing happens!! It sounds like the program starts to come on screen(there's a little flicker),then nothing. Not even an error message. These sites are legal for me to play at ( WA, USA ). I follow their instructions (run, run, agree, finish...), so what's up? I think I have all computer settings(allow cookies...) right so they're not blocked, but I must be missing something. Am able to play Vegas Tech and RTG casinos, but cannot access "Live Support" at those. I'd REALLY APPRECIATE any suggestions how to fix these problems!!
MANY THANKS !! from a computer dummy smileops:

i would delete it totally and try installing it again or you can go to one of the rivals that have instant play and see if it lets you register that way

rainbow, smile Welcome to noluckneeded!

This may be a problem with a setting on your computer or it can be caused if you are using an older computer or a MAC or if there was an error in the download.

Maybe you should try the instant play versions of the casinos. Most of the Rivals have the non download version. There is usally a button on the homepage (beside the "download now" button) that says "instant play" or Flash". Maybe that will work.

If that does not suffice, try rebooting your computer and removing the downloads and try again.

I have had this problem with rivals since they all "updated" earlier in the year. The graphics are to sofisticated for my computer. I even added 1GB of memory - it helped but not enough. My computer is 5 years old and just not equiped. I can DL but the software but - just like you - it will not open. Then when I close out all I get it "program not responding".

Once I let it go for a few hours and the software opened - I tried loading a game and it took another few hours. There was nothing support could do for me. I tried cleaning cookies, uninstalling - installing again - you name it. So I just had to give up on rivals - but like tawnia said, you can play in flash. Just register - open a game - then from there go to cashier to claim freebie - all the same rules and regs apply.

Good luck. Hope that helped.

THANK YOU ALL,
I have previously tried all of your suggestions (with no luck) except for the instant play. Didn't know it worked the same as the download. Will try that next. I have a 4yr. old Dell Compaq laptop with Vista and 2GB mem. but, like you Rae, think the graphics capabilities are sub-par. POOP!!!
About my other prob., used to be able to use live support at the Vegas & RTG casinos. Don't know what happened, now when i try to connect with them I get something like " iad.liveperson... is not set up to connect to port WWW - HTTP. with your computer ". Any ideas about that one?
THANKS SO MUCH you guys for taking the time to help me out !!
