Online Gambling Review by NoLuckNeeded.com member Holly

Online gaming has swept the internet over the last 10 years but I am betting that much of the younger generation can’t imagine a day when the only way to play your favorite slot, or sit in on a serious game of blackjack was to hop on plane and head to Las Vegas, Reno, or Atlantic City. Those were the only places to gamble “legally” and not at all convenient for most Americans.

Iowa was an instrumental state that lobbied the pursuit of River Boat gambling and brought the exciting world of gaming to the mid west and, subsequently, to the rest of the country. Restrictions were attached that mandated the river boat to set sail for “tours” since gambling on shore was not yet legislated. Ah, those were the days. Lazy trips down the Mississippi River, all the free food and drinks you could want and Las Vegas style entertainment right at our backdoor. Never mind the drive there, the waiting in line, the crowded floor, waiting at the cashier, and buckets of heavy quarters to lug around. I suppose there is a special feeling you get from actually holding those chips in your hand, listening to the sound of your machine going klinkety-klink as your winnings drop into the tray at your knees. I do appreciate land-based casinos for some of those very reasons and, occasionally go from time to time.

Then, oh, a little over 17 years ago a little thing called the internet came along and not long after, the introduction of online gambling. I stumbled into this world by accident a little over 3 years ago by finding NoLuckNeeded, an informative social forum focused on the latest gambling news, no-deposit chips, deposit bonuses, and a whole host of terrific moderators and members that helped guide me through this somewhat confusing new world.

I soon learned there are numerous benefits and features to the online experience that far outweigh their traditional brick and mortar counterpart.

Aside from the more obvious benefits such as the convenience of gambling from your home around the clock, consider saving gas, travel time, and the long waits at the cashier. Online gaming features high-tech software that brings the land-based casino experience to your fingertips any time of the day or night, right to your very own living room.

Traditional casinos do not pass out free money at the door like most online casinos do. You are also free to try their games in “fun” mode as often as you wish, honing your skills in a variety of high-stakes games before you decide to deposit. Try that at your local casino.

Another benefit is that you are never bothered by the person next to you, or having to sit in those uncomfortable backless chairs that can leave you limping away after hours of play. You can set your radio to the station you like, pop your i-pod headphones in, watch t.v. or sit in complete silence while truly enjoying top-notch, high-stakes gaming at its best.

Some statistics show that the pay outs are better on line, too. Many online casinos are audited by 3rd parties such as Price and Waterhouse and uphold above average ethical standards and maintain millions of loyal players from year to year.

Online casinos offer well-structured bonus and reward programs with many opportunities for free chips, prizes, and tournaments for the new player and loyal player alike. In most cases, an online chat is available for any question you may have about deposits, withdraws, their software, upcoming events, etc.

Maybe the next time you are headed out the door to your local casino, consider staying at home, grab your favorite beverage, and take a seat at your favorite table or slot. You can play at your own speed, take a break when you like and resume right where you left off.

Remember to play with a budget and never spend more money than you can afford to loose.

Good Luck!

TDTAT, very wise and knowladgable profesor,,

yea i agree in ireland everyone goes to the pub spend loads and come home hammerd.

i have a weekly thing i buy a few beers put my weekly budgedted amount in or maybe not gamble at all to save for a larger deposit.

then when i dont get paid spend most off my time running that casino down ha

but in all yes more enjoyable ,you dont also pay over the top for a sandwich or a drink at home.
