No Luck Needed for the $9,500 Horse that just spanked
the Million dollar big boys!

"It's all in the Head" the jockey says

"It just shows what can be done. Dream a little bit & your dreams will come true"

WTG!! I love it when the little guy wins!!! I didn't have him on my ticket but if the ones I bet on didn't win, I am glad it was someone who actually worked at it.

I thought of you anniemac!

The owners say "bidness" instead of business.. I swear..
real red necks, I LOVE IT!

Can you imagine how all those snobs feel to get beat by some
hillbillies?

Flight to the Kentucky Derby: $300
Bets and drinks at the Derby: $500

Watching all the Kentucky Blue Blood snobs choke on
their mint julips when the $9,500 red neck horse wins:
PRICELESS

I like long shots also because of the $$$ I did'nt bet on this one smile
I would usually make 2 bets 1 for the fav and 1 for the long shot just in case
Son, if you really want something in this life, you have to work for it. Now quiet! They're about to announce the lottery numbers

This guy had only won 1 out of 32 races before the Derby. Turns out this horse had been the Canadian 2yr old of the year but hadn't won since. So he ends up with a no name trainer at a small time track just plodding along. He earned enough his 2yr old year to get in the Derby and low and behold, beats the socks off the big dogs.

I love it. Being a racing fan and a red neck to boot, just makes my heart glad. Didn't have enough money to have his horse vanned or flown to Churchill. Drove his own truck and hauled his own horse. What a trip.

I know the jockey. He is a great guy. From Louisiana. Comes back to ride at Louisiana Downs. Not a snooty bone in his body.

Good things happen to good people.

Anniemac, when he was screaming "It's all in the head 50:1 shot, $9500 horse" over and over on the victory lap...

I cried. And I was screaming it too! The way he was saying 50:1,
I am sure he had a bet somewhere smile

I love those rednecks. Good for them, the rabbit got a freaking gun!

Actually the current owners paid $400,000 for him and his trainer, primarily a quarter horse trainer had only won 1 of 32 thoroughbred races and if Calvin Bo Rail (Borel) hadn't been riding he may not have won. No other rider would have gone through that small hole on the rail Congrats to all connected with Mine That Bird
