I am sure this subject has been touched on a few times but I never paid attention cuz it wasn't happening to meee LMAO....

Why do online casinos not accept these cards...i.e. Gift2Go PrePaid Visa (anywhere Visa is accepted) yeah, right!!!

Just thought I'd get that out! Our Netspend server is out in our area so I bought a $50 Gift card (my precious gambling moolah) and now I can't use it.

UUUUGGGGGGG!!

Any ideas? I've tried 3Dice, Intertops, and DaVinci's

Thanks

rae, I do not think any of the casinos take the gift cards
anymore .. they take the reloadable kind, but not the one time use cards.

The casinos would take them, but visa stopped allowing
them to work at online casinos.

Well, that is encouraging - now you can't even spend your "gift" money the way you want. Why should Visa give a darn???

Thanks for the reply. I am happy to find out that the casinos would if they could.

Have a great day.

rae- forgive the typos, I am typing with broken fingers here- I don't know what a "gift 2 go" Visa is as far as the brand but I have used one at Intertops, Royal Vegas, Vegas Palms and I'm sorry if I give you wrong info here but I did log in the site that I have used and ran a basic search for your info- Milwaukee, WI and I found several types of Visa Gift Card options. As I said, I don't know what "gift 2 go" is but the key to having a casino accept the gift card is to make sure to register the gift card. Even though it is intended to be tossed, you can still register it, just make sure that you have it registered with the same name and address as your casino account. One gaming group, I think it is Belle Rock Entertainment (River Belle, Jackpot City, The Gaming Club and Lucky Nugget) actually ask you during deposit, "Is this a pre paid or virtual gift card" because they recommend that you use them. I said I wasn't going to invest my time 'trying to help anyone' again after my last "thank you" but let me search around for more info on "gift 2 go" so I can give you a better response. Just to let you know my personal experience, Green Dot reloadable Visa works but it has a service fee along with a $4.95 purchase price for the refill pack (I'm in CA and have only used Walgreens) but Walgreens won't even allow me to use my ATM card with a Visa logo to purchase a refill pack. They make me use their ATM machine, pay that fee (around $4.00) to withdrawal cash, get back into their line and reload with cash! I'll get back to you in a few minutes after I look up info on "gift 2 go" but the one that I have used is at: www.onegreatgiftcard.com

OK- go to: https://app1.idt.net/svp/us/register/gift2go/step1.aspx and register your card once that is done, it should work.. There was a "help desk" person once that gave me info that she wasn't allowed to and than when I actually tried to have another agent repeat the info after I lost it, the casino claimed that they would have never given me that info- there is a certain lot number of visa cards along with the expiration date that the casino cashier would not accept- I had just bought that lucky batch number and ended up having to use the $ on ebay- Good luck, I hope that this helps, if not there is always ebay and I swear, it will be a matter of time before RTG finds a way to take food stamps as a deposit so I know they will take anything. Also, log into your visa account and make sure that you have the exact balance when you try to deposit and always put in a dollar lower than your max because the casino processors alter the amount in order to try to get your deposit to go through. I don't think they ever go higher but if you think you have a 50.00 gift card and the card itself charged a 2.50 "service fee" a deposit request of 49.01 will be rejected.

I bought one awhile back to use and because anyone under the age of 18 can use them, I was told they could not be used for online gambling. I had to really work a deal to get it sold...LOL
