I read in the paper that some online casino group (didn't recognize) and their processors were being charged (in Utah) for multiple things like accepting CC payments through their processor that were fixing it so that the CC companies don't know it was for gambling. The article said "it is illegal in most US states to gamble online". I am very confused. I keep reading articles that this is so yet casinos continue to accept US $$$. Can anyone out there clarify this for me? I live in one of the banned states for many casinos but some casinos accept me and my $$ - while all the articles I have read say that it is definitely illegal to gamble online!! Please help if you have any valid information. Thanks so much!!

rae, It is not illegal to gamble online,
but as you know everything is illegal in Utah..
Remember this when you play online..
you are not playing where you live.. you are playing where the casino server is smile

that is so funny, because i was recently watching a program that talked about having more than 1 wife. And they say that in Utah there are so many that they decided not to prosecute them.

good point! .... i once saw on the news that utah sells more hotel pay-per-view porn than any other state smileops: go figure ....

the way i see it, on top of what tawnia said, these laws have yet to be challenged on their constitutionality, and with a potential repeal looming, no prosecutor in their right mind would want touch this!

maybe so lawyer might, if there is enough money in and it is a chance for them to get famous for just taking the whole thing on

i have to agree with you, because they would have to be out of their minds to take something this big on.
