What's the deal with the freeroll slot tourneys?

Yeah, I get the whole thing of playing for free to win money, but is it that you're really winning money to wager, or just a bonus for which you would have to deposit to play on more? It would be great if when you win, you win an actual deposit in your account. Please if you know how this works, I just don't want to be confused, thank you.

So far it's seeming like a waste of time, LOL. I just have naturally bad luck which explains how I've been a part of this site for so long now, gotten alot of bonuses, deposited at many casinos, yet don't have one decent story to tell u about how I won. Guess some people have luck and some dont, LOL. The funny thing is I refuse to give up on having good luck, will I ever learn? LOL

The freeroll slot tourneys they run at english harbour/ superslots and hotpepper win you a bonus amount that has a playthrough requirement just like any no deposit bonus but Ive cashed out without ever depositing at those sites from playing in those freeroll tourneys just so u know!
