Roxy Palace just sent me an e-mail closing my acct. This really sucks. One casino interprets the law one way and one the other. The majority is closing accts, so what does that say for the one's who are accepting bets from US players? Are we doing something illegal by placing real money bets with the one's that are open? Makes me kind of fearful. The thought of going back to land-based casinos makes me sick..................

from nettelarr427:Rae, just wanted to let you feel a little better its not illegal your not doing anything wrongsmilesmile First of all we want to make clear to all our USA players that this Bill did not make online casinos illegal and it will not have any legal impact on players as they will not be accountable of any felony under this Bill.

It is only fair to let you know that in the future this Legislation may have an impact on the ability to make deposits, however it is still left to be seen what actions are taken to enforce this bill and what actions are in reality of use.

I received emails from some of the casino's closing my accounts. They are jumping the gun and don't realize that they are only hurting themselves. If they stop all US players, they probably won't be in business to long. The last I heard is the $6 Billion (That's with a B) is spent on online gambling. That's a lot of money.

Also, if I recall correctly, didn't Antiqua take the US to World Court over this. They stated that the US was placing unfair trade practices on them. They said that since it was a legal sanctioned business then it is protected under the World Trade Treaty. The US cannot ban a commodity from being traded in the US. They one in World Court and also won the appeal. I think that's why they decided to go after the credit card companies, because they can regulate them. BUt maybe not all of them.
