What is the point of Boxing Day?
A 'Christmas Box' in Britain is a name for a Christmas present. Boxing Day was traditionally a day off for servants and the day when they received a 'Christmas Box' from the master. The servants would also go home on Boxing Day to give 'Christmas Boxes' to their families.

Boxing Day is a holiday celebrated the day after Christmas Day. It originated in the United Kingdom, and is celebrated in a number of countries that previously formed part of the British Empire. Boxing Day is on December 26, although the attached bank holiday or public holiday may take place either on that day or two days later.

Interesting, I wondered what it stood for. Another piece of Trivia: The song Silent Night turned 200 this year (201. It was written by a priest in a small town in Austria. it was originally written as a poem at an attempt to bring peace and hope to the people during a time of great turmoil....

BUT SOME DAYS I FEEL LIKE A SERVANT...LMAOOOO DOES THAT COUNT. LOL

shirlsplay, Ummm, yes it counts! I also feel like a servant after having relatives at my house for a few days. And I'm always my dog's servant too.
