I was at a marine's funeral yesterday. He was sort of a relative through marriage. It was moving to see the honor guard perform taps and do the flag ceremony.
Thanks to all the veterans past and present for doing something I could never do!

There is nothing more touching than a military/law enforcement funeral.
Being in a police family, I have been closely involved in a few. It's both painful and beautiful at the same time....
