Sometimes I play the Tournaments at Casino Extreme. I used to deposit and play there quite regularly. They only had some rather strange deposit methods such as Bitcoin and something else weird, so I didn't deposit for awhile. Meanwhile I play the Tournaments and notice one night they were again accepting cards. So I make a deposit and play it through.

I went on about my business and saw somewhere there were free spins available at Casino Extreme. So I put in the code and was denied. Went to Live Chat and asked why I couldn't claim the free spins since I had made a very recent deposit.

Their rep told me it was because I had been playing the Tournaments. Now mind you, I had played some of the Tournaments PRIOR TO making the deposit. That struck me as being extremely strange. You can play some of the Tournaments for free, but even after making a deposit you can't claim free spins.

Does this seem a bit strange to any of you, OR, am I thinking weird? You tell me.

CoraBets, So you can't claim bonuses if you play tournaments? That's a new one. Now if the free spins were only for new players then I understand. Anyway this casino is not recommended by noluckneeded due to their unresponsiveness to player complaints. I am sure you can find a better casino at which to play.

TDTAT I thought it was a stupid answer. Obviously the free spins were for everyone for whom they couldn't come up with a ridiculous denial reason. It was a minimal deposit and I won't be making any further deposits.

It's written in their tournament rules:

"Only one non-entry fee tournament is allowed between deposits."
"all winnings from non-entry fee tournament need to be wagered one time before withdrawal."

I think they consider participation in free tournaments such as requiring a non-deposit bonus.
So I think it is necessary to make a deposit before playing each freeroll or requesting some free spins.

any winnings, out of these rules may be confiscated, or they may require a play-through requirement different from 1x.

WildWildFrank, Thanks for the update on the terms and conditions. That is probably surprising to most players (myself included) because not many RTG casinos that I know of have such a rule. I think it reflects poorly on the casino because most RTG casinos allow depositors to play an unlimited number of freerolls. I guess it's lucky that Cora didn't win a freeroll and then get her funds seized as that would have been upsetting.

Terms that are too intricate always hide some trick.
But a similar situation can be found on inetbet.eu/com friday freeroll.

Lately I had won a prize in fridayfreeroll and I realized, contacting the support, that the money was not withdrawable ... but there was a wagering requirement of 25 times.

I to like playing the tournaments at extreme and think that there rules are awful. that's probably why they don't have a hole lot of players in them.

On many their tournaments only the buyin is free, but you must pay for rebuys and addons. They also consider these tournaments as "non-entry fee" so if you win a prize you still have to wager it at least once before you can make a withdrawal.
"awful" is a right word to describe their rules on tournaments
