Does anyone have any idea how to open a euro bank account that would have a swift code, etc, as per the recent email from Quicktender? I don't have much in there, but I sure would like to get it out!
Thanks in advance!

mostlysunnee, You do not have to have an account in euros to receive a euro wire. Just ask your bank if they accept incoming wires in euro, most do and they just charge a conversion fee.

The notice from Quicktender says they need a swift code and an iban which is for an international bank. Have you seen the email, Tawnia? I'm still not sure how to figure it out about an international account. Hopefully someone on this forum knows about it and can help? Thanks for all you do!

Silver, that's all I can see are little blue lines that say quote, but then no letters, words, sentences, no text, appears. Did you actually say something? Thanks!

mostlysunnee, Did you ask your bank for the info? Every bank account has an iban number, as I recall it is like the account and routing or account and transit # or something. Try that before worrying about making a new account. If that does not work then go to hsbc or some other well known international bank online or call and get instructions for account opening.

the email said ...
Please note we will not send any funds that claim to be destined for a EURO account to a 9 digit Fedwire/ABA routing number. If you obtain a EURO account from a USA based bank they will be able to provide you with the BIC/Swift Code and /or an International Bank Account Number (IBAN).
I called my bank CITIBANK they were quick to give me a swiftcode (as stated in the email) but my bank said I don't need an international bank # that I can receive wired euros.
Has anybody just used a swiftcode and got a reply.
