Mavin, Is this a joke? Of course luck is the only thing that matters when playing slots.

smile I believe that it is Luck, when it comes to winning on slots.

I also believe that the more you play, the more chance you have to win.
(and... lose, of course!)

I don't think that luck is necessary to win a slot but yes positive thinking is important for a person when they play. And there are various types of slot machines. These have three or four wheel spins that have numbers painted on them. If you are turn your efforts in the right combination will result in a win.

Hey TDTAT… it’s not a joke. In my opinion, though luck plays a vital role while playing online slots, we must be aware of their basic strategies to win. There are plenty of guides available on how to win slots using tips and tricks. You can maximize your winnings this way. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts.

Mavin, Hi! Sorry, but in my opinion, any guides that say they help you win at slots are lying. There is no betting strategy that can statistically improve your chances of winning at slots.

There are ways to play blackjack, craps and various table games which help you achieve the correct way of playing, but not for slots.

Anyone who tells you they have a PROVEN strategy for increasing your winnings on a slot machine is a liar. Of course quitting while you are ahead is a good tip, as is betting max coins in your denomination, but that is not a betting strategy. There is no way to gain a statistical advantage on slot machines.. the casino's odds will always stand up in the long run. If the expected payout on a slot machine is 95%, that will always hold over the statistical long run (of milllions of spins).

If you are following some guide that says bet x coins until you hit x and then change your bet, and this will increase your winnings, they are a charlatan and their "system" can never be proven. You may get "lucky" and win more for a time, but in the long run, no betting system exists that will improve your chances of winning at a slot machine. In the end the only thing that will make you a winner at slots is luck.

I know when I started going to Vegas and playing in casinos, mainly slots back in '88 I read the books with tips and strategies on: win to loss ratio, varied wagering, location of machine, type of machine etc but I really didn't see any difference in my win/loss results. It also took alot of fun out of it to keep track. I went back to instinct and intuition and I've done OK over the years. My view on gambling is the money bet is the price of the entertainment, the same as a show or a meal and I don't expect anything back..so on the occasional time when I do bring more money home than I took I'm thrilled.....I can't think of any other trip or vacation where you even have the possibility of doing that.

I also have several "good luck charms" I carry with me, when I play. smile

I have a bridge to sell anyone who believes in slot betting systems... smile Yes, sometmes I think they put the higher paying machines on the ends, so more people see winners while walking the isles, but that is not a betting system and has lost me many dollars in Las Vegas.

Now there is a good scam on the old Las Vegas "bonus slot machines"... tourists will leave the machines when the bonus is almost "full".. and the slots show how full the bonus is.. then you can go play and hit the bonus quickly and go to the next machine.. but Las Vegas figured this scam out and now you can not really find many of these machines anywhere. There are a few at the Bellagio and some at the off strip casinos. RE: The ones where you catch the fish, the hot air balloons, and a few other types.. Also if the casino figures out what you are doing, they will kick you out.

The craps and roulette betting systems are all "crap" too... there is a way to play craps correctly (to almost have even odds while playing the pass line bets), but that will never give you an edge over the "house" odds... it just gets you "true" even odds when playing pass line bets.

The only thing that really works is "counting cards" in blackjack and that does not work online and will get you kicked out of a casino in Las Vegas. *See the movies "Rainman" or "21". smile

I'm going to Louisiana on a 2-nighter to my favorite land casino in a couple of weeks. I know they have cheese danishes but I'll have to bring the spaghetti strainer from home. I'll let you know if it works !
