shirlsplay, I used to live within an hour of large casino. It was a big city with god knows how many restaurants, but the casino had the best pizza in town.

I am ten minutes away from a large casino!!! And half an hour away from the now Hard Rock casino!!! Imagine the temptation!!!

The nearest casino to us is 45 minutes away. All the others are 2 hours away. We usually keep it to once a month...more during the long Winter months of boredom 
Luckily, my husband is pretty good about staying on budget while we're there. He makes better decisions than me because he doesn't drink while we're there 
I enjoy a few cocktails and suddenly my bets go up and/or I can't seem to find the cash out button!!

THE CLOSET CASINO TO US IS ABOUT 5 MINS AWAY BUT WE BEEN GOING TO A DIFFERENT CASINO ON FRIDAYS WHICH IS ABOUT 15 TO 20 MINS AWAY CAUSE THEY GIVE MY BOYFRIEND $30 IN FREE PLAY EVERY FRIDAY PLUS $10 IN FOOD. I GET NOTHING....LOL. BUT THEY DO HAVE A FREE TOURNAMENT AND I HAVE WON THE SESSION TOURNEY FOR $25 IN FREE PLAY A BUNCH OF TIMES AND I WON AT THE END OF THE NIGHT A FEW TIMES , ONCE FOR $150 IN FREE PLAY.

I have to drive to Louisiana to go to my favorite casino, Coushatta, (about 3 hours away). 2800 slots, 6 places to eat, 3 hotels. Good pay-outs and generous comps and gifts each month. There are closer, smaller ones, an hour away and 2 hours away but the drive is worth it.

webdeb, 3 Hours is far enough away that you won't end up there by accident and it's a perfect distance for a weekend trip!

Did you guys hear about the one handed kid who made it to the NFL? He is starting next week for the Seahawks! I had Chris write a little article for us because it's such a good story.
