i'm always on my guard on april fools, not to tempt fate, but so far no great stories to relate.... but my favorite april fools day story is the one about the BBC (British Broadcasting Corp). They ran a special on april 1st, back in the 60's; a documentary about the pasta harvest in Itally !!! they filmed on location, showing Italian farming families picking pasta from pasta trees and shrubs; which the show explained depended on the variety of pasta! The next day BBC reported that their switchboard had a record number of calls from viewers/aprils day fools!!

An old boyfriend and I had just moved in together and during a conversation on the phone one afternoon while he was at work he asked what I was doing, I replied, waiting for my boyfriend to show up (ha ha) - you know, we've all said this to our partner at one point - so the conversation ended, I went to work - got off early and drove home only to find him in bed with "his girlfriend" - swear to God, it was April Fools day 1990. I'm actually glad it happened - I found my true love and we've been together ever since!!
