My mom has a dinner just like Thanksgiving and all of us bring our appetites and eat and eat and eat and then sleep for a moment so we can make a little more room for desert.

We used to enjoy watching all the little ones open their presents, compare them and then decide they each wanted what the other one had received. But they've all grown now and have kids of their own...............and ya know, we still watch 'em open 'em, compare and want what the other received!! So this year, we're not putting name tags on any of the gifts! And i'll bet (or at least hope) they finally get that one present they've been wanting without the "Santa must've put my present in YOUR box".

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!! ENJOY THE COMPANY OF LOVED ONES WHILE YOU ARE ABLE!!

When I was growing up we all went to Grandmas house for Christmas and Thanksgiving. I come from a long line of cooks and my Aunt owned a bakery when we were kids so it was always something to look forward too. My Grandma always made my 2 sisters and I matching outfits that we would wear for her but not anywhere else Lol, God Bless her!

These days with my 3 girls, we seem to stay home since everyone lives so far away and we spend the day snacking usually cook a nice Prime Rib and opening all the adult proof gifts the girls got for xmas that take a hammer, wire cutters and meat shears to get open! FUN!!

We also spend the day playing online poker and my Mom-in-Law and I do some online Casino gambling..... Hehehe!

Merry Christmas ALL!!
Happy Gaming All!! Leigh

My family plays a game called "Grabs", where everybody brings 5 gifts worth $5-$10, (that rule never works, some people go overboard, and some people hand-make gifts) Pile them in the center of the room, and after drawing numbers everybody chooses 1 gift until all are gone. Every year "The Elders" (not me yet) choose little rule changes to keep it interesting, but it is always a fun time, and i'll never miss it.

My holiday tradition is to stay in and stay warm, it is freezing outside, we always put up a Christmas tree and have to mount it to the wall to keep my cats from turning it over, I have a cat tree every year, they love to climb to the top and poke there heads out of the branches and play with the ornaments, I always have to redecorate every couple of days, LOL. We also cook a ham and the fixings and sing Christmas carrols, we also watch all the Christmas shows on TV, and open the presents up Christmas morning, I allow my son to open one up on Christmas Eve. We just have a family holiday.

This Christmas is going to be different, we are going to West Virginia to have Christmas with my family, this is going to be my first Christmas my son has had with them, he is 10 and has never been at his grandmothers for Christmas, My mother will finally see his face light up when he opens his presents, and this will go for me as well as a grandmother, I will get to see my grand childrens face light up, I just can't wait, we will have a joyious Christmas this year and one to remember too!

Merry Christmas all and have a Happy New Year as well.
