I am thankful for my family. For the first time in 6 yrs. my son will actually be home, really really home, for the holidays. We will be able to have a real family holiday. Our health is good, life is good.

Ya know, I was sitting here feeling kind of sorry for myself. My brother is in a hell of a fight with cancer, my hubby just lost his job 6 days ago, I turn another year oder in a few days and things, well, aren't going that well, but I am thankful his treatments are going great, Jeff is strong and healthier and 9 months ago we didn't think he's be here with us this Christams. So what a blessed thing.

I guess, in the grand picture, that is all that matters smile

This contest put a few things back into perspective for me. Thanks NLN.

Events sometimes occur that make us realize how fortunate we truly are.
I appeciate my family, friends, and life a little more today, than I did yesterday.

Let us all remember how short life is, so that we may live and love as if each day is our last.
