I bought my 2 year old daughter a Elmo bed set, in hopes that she will start
sleeping in her own bed, I'm hoping it will work. She loves it regardless.

We didn't do much for this year. This is the first year my honey and I didn't go out to buy special cards for each other. We've had alot going on, and it is the first year without my mom.
It has been easier for me to just put the holiday aside. Today doesn't even feel like Christmas. Unfortunately, that is what is working for me right now.
Christmas is no longer what it was meant to be.....so many years ago when that baby was born in a manger.
By the way, after reading all the posts, I hated to even enter this contest. God bless you all, your posts brought tears to my eyes. Alot of them, do represent what the holiday really means.

RGALP, God Bless you and your family. This is my 12 year without my mother and christmas was her favorite time of the year. Than her mother my grandmother pasted away 6 years ago on christmas morning. That morning while we were unwrapping gifts we got the call. Talk about take all the fun and joy out of the day. I myself find it hard to enjoy the day because of these things. But I tell myself My children deserve a Merry Christmas and there to be joy in our home. They say God never gives us more than we can bare. I sometimes question how strong does the man think I am or he must know something about me that I don't. I tell myself that no matter how bad it is to be thankful for there is someone else that has it worst off than me. We all need to take the time to be thankful. I am very thankful for the little things and the people in my life. In a blink of the eye they or myself can be taken away. I encourage every1 to tell the people in their life how much they love them and what they mean to them. Don't let the chance pass you by. Merry Christmas to all my NLN Family and God Bless each and everyone of you.

Nerak, Thank you for that, and you are so right. I am so terribly greatful for my husband. I don't know what my life would be without him by my side. I'm going to go and give him a hug and tell him right now....

My boyfriend has given me a diamond necklace from Zales!! I've given my boyfriend the gift of going with him to spend time with his family for Christmas...and given his nieces and nephews gift cards. I was given stuff by his family, as well. I was really nervous being up there with them as first...but then it turned out to be a lot of fun!

A wii for my kids....we left a note on the tree that started a treasure hunt and then finally all of the screaming when they found it!
