Books have always been the most memorable gifts I've had. In my family, we always inscribe/dedicate the book to the person we're giving it to. I have books from childhood on up through my adulthood that have very meaningful inscriptions. I will treasure them always.

The best gift I have given is to my mother: when she was 75, I brought her to the city of her ancestor - Rouyn, France. Since then she came with me to Paris quite often, since my work was part-time over there. She just loves to travel.

I really loved the satin pajamas my sis bought me one year , with a fuzzy robe and soft, soft slippers. She knows how to pick gifts so well. And for the grabbag, she always puts in a whole lot of scratch tickets. She's the greatest and my best friend.

The best gift I can give to my family is to bring everybody in my family together at my house to share the holidays with love and good home made food. It's wonderful and everyone has a great time full of love and no one has to bring gifts just love.
Happy Holidays to all

The best gift that I received was from my husband one year. He gave me a new (and very nice) wedding ring.
We had pawned my original one and got there one day too late to make the payment and it was gone.
So, I was really happy to have a new one!!

I once received a baton for christmas. Dosen't sound like much- except I was determined to be a cheerleader when I reached high school. Well this would have been a feat indeed, since I out weighed most cheerleaders by a good 60 lbs.!! Someone should have bought me a membership at weight watchers instead!!! I lost the weight before leaving high school, but I never became a cheerleader! However, that baton was the tool of many hours of wonderful day dreams for an overweight child with a huge imagination! (I can still twirl the hell out of one!!!)

The best gift I ever received was a ring that I received from my parents when I was just 6 years old. At the time I didn't appreciate it much but as I got older I realize that my parents gave me the ring which my dad had purchased for my mom, because they didn't have money to buy to spend that year on Christmas. I still have the ring, I will cherish that ring forever.
