I love the spirit of the holidays: family, food and fun but hate trying to figure out what to buy for everyone. I love giving but hate shopping (unless it's something for me 
). My favorite part of exchanging gifts is my familys "White Elephant Gift". We each buy a present $20 or under that is unusual or unique, wrap it and put no name on it. Then on Christmas Eve when we all get together, we draw a number out of a hat. There are as many numbers as gifts. Whoever drew # 1 goes 1st and picks a gift and opens it. Then whoever drew # 2 can either take # 1s gift or pick a new one. If your gift gets taken, you pick a new unwrapped one but cannot take anothers. This goes on til all numbers/gifts or done. It's great when you draw a high number because you have the pick of all the unwrapped gifts. It's always a great time for us..lots of laughs and play fighting to keep a wanted gift and seeing wild gifts we never would have given otherwise.

I love Christmas! Although it seems people have more fun and tolerance for Halloween, I still thouroughly enjoy getting the Christmas Tree out and decorating it. I always get new ornaments every year, because as we all know as each year changes, so does fashion. Every time I go into the stores and see the beautifully decorated trees, I also see new designs, ornaments and lights that make my tree look more and more wonderful every year. I also love to shop for Christmas presents and see everyones face light up when they see the gift they've wanted all year!
But most important, I love when the family can get together and sit down at the dinner table with a feast fit for a king and tell their "Remember When" stories. That's my favorite part of Christmas!
Let's all remember those less fortunate, not just at Christmas time, but always!

I enjoy the holidays. It's more than just the lights and decorations and gift giving, for me it's quality time that I spend with my children and grandchildren. And a time for wonderful memorable moments shared with the ones I love. This year I will be spending it with my niece in Ohio, who is undergoing a mastectomy, because she has breast cancer. It will be a very special christmas for me because I will spend it with her and I love her very much (as well as the rest of my family).
I wish you all a very special merry christmas (and other days celebrated) and a very happy and prosperous New Year to all of you wonderful NLN members.

I love the holidays because of the family and food get togethers.

The holiday were a wonderful time when my children were small They were alway excited and happy not to mention on their best behavior. Now that they are all practically grown the holidays are a rush and stressful I won't say I hate them, that's not true, but I am always glad when they are over...

I love the Holidays because its one of the few times a year my whole family comes together.

I love the holiday season. Its nice to be able to give to someone and see the look on their face. I also like to be able to spend time with the people who mean the most in my life and see everyone in the Christmas spirit.

CHRISTMAS IS VERY COOL.
NOT ALWAYS FUN WITH ALL THE CRAZY PEOPLE RUNNING AROUND.
LIKE THE MUSIC & THE MOVIE "WHITE CHRISTMAS" WHICH ALWAYS LEAVES ME WITH A TEAR OR TEN.
I ALWAYS SEND ME CARDS OUT BETWEEN JUNE & MAY JUST AS A REMINDER TO EVERY-1 THAT WE SHOULD ALL BE THANKFUL FOR EVERY THING-EVERY DAY & NOT JUST A FEW DAYS A YEAR.
I GET SOME COOL COME-BACKS FROM NEWBIES I SEND TO...ALL MY REGS. ARE USED TO ME & MY ...OFF... WAYS BUT STILL THEY TAKE TIME TO CALL & SAY SOMETHING...MOSTLY "THANKS...WAS NEEDED"

I love the faces of little children Christmas morning when to their suprise santa did come and he brought their hearts desire. I love that about Christmas. I just wish older kids wouldn't ruin it for the lil ones
