Keep your fingers crossed for me all, I have to take my little dog to the vet tomorrow, she is so stuffed up she is gurgling when she breathes, and doing a fair bit of mouth-breathing. And that is with prednisone. Am hoping the vet has some ideas because I have tried everything I can think of to clear up the congestion, without success. I am worried this could be the end, if the prednisone is no longer working, even after the vet upped her dosage in May. She has chronic bronchitis, and has been on prednisone for the past 11 years.

Thanks for your good wishes everyone!! We saw the vet, and he prescribed a couple of medications, and doubled her prednisone. If that doesn't work, we will have to go back for x-rays. I am praying it works. It is so scary, because she is small, and has chronic bronchitis and has been on prednisone for over 11 years. Not a good combination, and lots of things can go wrong, now that she is a senior dog!
