Thanks for the tip. Last year we went for a wedding and a friend of ours was staying at the Sahara. A pit boss said that the odds on the strip (pay outs) were something like 80/20 in favor of the casino!!!!
I'm better off staying home and playing on line....lol
I haven't been to old vegas in years, I think we will definitely try it.
Where "abouts" is the Orleans?
Oh My GOD!! Hit the Eggstravaganza Jackpot at SlotoCash

RGALP, They are not allowed to have 80/20 odds anywhere except Indian casinos and keno.. the Vegas gaming commission regulates vegas..
However you will get an extra 3-5% playing off strip
The lowest odds will be keno wich may be as low as 80%.. and
the spin the wheel table game and the war table game.. AVOID THOSE

RGALP, The Orleans is off strip.. over past the Palms and a few miles up...
They have good video poker and millions of slots. If you
like clam chowder, try the oyster bar, it is good and really cheap.
Any casino you go to, join the players club before you start playing!

RGALP, For the best free drink in Las vegas go to the bellagio sports book..
Go pick up a free odds sheet and sit in a comfy chair.
Watch the tv and when the waitress comes around order a strawberry julius.
When she brings it, tip $1
THE BEST IN VEGAS! They will not
know you have not placed a bet and don't really care as long as you tip. The cappucinos are great to, ask for a sugar stick

Boy, don't you know your way around!!!! We stayed at the Bellagio last year for the wedding. It was beautiful, but so huge. We had a room in the back tower, and what a walk just to get to the elevators.
This year my husband has a seminar so we are starting out at Palace Station (I'm not thrilled), then we are going to Mandalay Bay. They supposedly have the best pool around.
We all know that we have periods when we are winning (must be the planets lining up). Well, I hope mine didn't start too early.
Remember Voodoo last year? She was cleaning house for about a month.
Maybe I should ask Voodoo about which "gambling God" she prays too???????
....and what is a Sugar Stick?
As for tipping, I bartended for years so I'm a fanatic about it. I will cash out a machine to tip. Though that was back when they gave money (which I don't miss).
And thanks for all the well wished guys, and may you "all" win while I'm gone.

I used to play Keno, but not any more. I like machines because I like to be alone. I don't have to talk to the machine....lol
And now that they have Keno (especially Power Keno, if you can find it), I'm in my glory.
Will definitely try to get to the Orleans, I'm from Massachusetts, so I (we) love chowder and seafood.
Thanks again for all the tips.......

RGALP, Well it may not be as good to you then.. Your chowder
palette is more refined than mine
There is every kind of slot machine at the Orleans.
It is like a locals casino. They have to give more to get people in the door.
I have lost plenty there, but usally do pretty goods with a few big video poker wins

Let me tell you how bad "I" am.......
Back when you could jump on a plane without a problem, I use to get the red eye out of Vegas. Well, because it was usually around 11-12:30am, I would always stay an extra day and say I was confused with the date because it was after midnight and the date changed. It always worked. One time we were on the wrong day, and so late for the flight that the girl had us check in, said she couldn't guarantee our luggage, but she had us run through back doors to get to the plane.
God, that would NEVER happend today with all the security.
