Boy how life changes. Four or five years ago I would've been up all night partying. Now a days...since my three year old doesn't care if I was up late the night before (he still gets up at the same time)...I'll probably be in bed before midnight even hits. Yeah...I live a wild life lol.

Hubby and I will stay home, have chinese take out and wait for midnight. We have a tradition of sharing that 12 0'clock kiss every year and after 28 years, it's still special. I'll also get a phone call at 12 from my daughter and grandson. they live about 30 minutes from us now but at times we've lived thousands of miles apart. The call started then but has become another special new years tradition.
Here's to all NLN members (including me
) having the very best of luck in 2009.

My News Years was/is/will be spent with my youngest children and their friend. Listening to music and reminiscing of days gone by and pondering future happenings. New years day is somewhat undecided,,,maybe the beach withh the kids...maybe chillaxing at home....OR maybe great fortune may smile upon me and who knows. Happy new Year everybody. may 2009 be prosperous for each and everyone of you.

Well, I did a trade off, someone worked for me Christmas Eve and now I'm working tonight until 11:00. I'll be home in time for midnight to spend with hubby.
We were invited to a couple of parties but there's a blizzard going on so I'm not sorry I'm working.
On a sad note, over the years, wherever I was (bartending, Atlantic City, anywhere, and everywhere), I would call home to wish my parents a Happy New Year. This is the first year I have no one to call....
