I think the best gift I have ever gotten was when my husband and I got married my mother got us a hotel suite. She did not really have much money but she went all out to make sure my wedding night was extra special.

The best Xmas gift I ever received was having my son home from Japan for Xmas last year. He's a Marine. It was the first Xmas he had been home in 4 years. Course it was tempered with fear and anxiety also because he had to report in January of this year to go to Iraq. But he's back safe and sound so this Xmas will be a wonderful gift also.

I guess the best present I ever gave was myself. I was living in Hawaii and surprised everyone by coming home to Texas for Christmas. It was also the best present I ever gave to myself.

The best Christmas gift i've ever received...hmmm......
the gift of giving!
Really though, about two X'mases ago....
I hit a $2500 jackpot at the casino, first time ever and never hit a jackpot then so, i'd consider that a gift, i guess.

well i dont know if this quallifys but about 3 christmas eves ago i was finishing up my christmas shopping early morning and had every thing done except one gift my 4yr old son really wanted, and i didnt have enough money to get it for him.i had a little left over and i went to the casino in connecticut with only 170.00 after about 10 minuites i hiy a jackpot for 500.00.so i figured i would spend 100.00 more and then get my son the one gift he wanted to see under the tree and still have money left over.well after four spins on a machine i hit another 1300.00 jackpot t so off i was to get him his gift and more and that felt better then hitting both jackpots.happy holidays !!! smile smile smile smile smile smile

There is no doubt in my mind.

My birthday in 1999. We where at my parents house and suddently my boyfriend was gone. I thought he was out for a cigarett but 5 min after he came back in to the room and looked very nervous.

Then he went down on his knee and ask my to marrie him and gave me the most beutifull ring in the world.

That was the best present i ever got, and i dont think i will ever get one better. smile

Like other people, I think the look of excitement and happinesss, the sparkle in the eyes of the receiver (especially children!) is the greatest gift of all!!

I want to say though that the mothers who got to see their sons home from the war - I really feel for you!!! My son is not in the service, but I can imagine if he were. Good luck to all of you - my heart and prayers are with you!!
DON'T WORRY ~ smile ~ BE HAPPY!!!

My finest gift I ever received was when my father survived his heart attack and could celebrate the birth of christ and the joy of watching the children see that Santa had not forgot them for another year when there wishes were under the tree!! Happy Holidays to ALL and the New Year of all your DREAMS>>>>>>>>>>>>> smile

I love giving gifts. I alway do the 12 days of Christmas for my Mom.
Each day I give her a little gift till Christmas morning, saving the
best gift for last! She really loves it!
