samsarah1, I wish you had not asked.. LOL
The story is embarrasing
ops:
Thanksgiving is the day that the pilgrims
and Native Americans (indians) had a big feast and shared food.
The pilgrims were an early group
of settlers who came to North America from England (UK).
The pilgrims were running low on food in a cold winter, and the native americans shared food with them.
There was a big feast and the settlers and the native americans
celebrated their new frienship, sharing food between them
Some years later, we killed them all, took their land and made the
survivors live on reservations, where many still live today.

We celebrate this time of year, and eat turkey.
How do you say: "What are you thankful for?" in french?
ops:
thank u tawnia, but its history, you are for nothing on that , just this day is good , dont forget it , be quiet

Well, I'm thankful for my job which I love, though I'm dog-dead tired and think I see a knee replacement in my furure.....
I am thankful that I have the greatest guy in the world who puts up with me......and I'm thankful for each day and the many gifts I have in my life.
Take some time to thank the bigman upstairs or who ever it is you pray to
and pray for those less fortunate.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Well, I liked the post from Operalover best.... being in the spiritual sphere now: I thank my Buddha nature, my higher self for being in me, and from keeping me safe when gambling too much.... lol
Thank you, thank you, we all deserve to win BIG!!!
