My sister, brother, nieces, nephew and myself sometimes get together at my mother's house to have a Christmas party and exchange gifts. It kind of hard to do these days since we all live far from one another.

For the last few years we have been ordering Chinese food in and enjoying the company of our two grown children and their significant others. Now we have a baby granddaughter to add extra special joy the occassion!

My new holiday tradition is to now go to the cemetery to first spend some time with my first two beautiful sons whom I have lost,Jerod and Josh. They will be remembered first.I will sit with them and tell them each how much they meant to me to have been a part of my life.I will tell them that they will never be forgotten and that I would never have been the Mother I am today and the person I am today if I didn't have them in my life.I will thank them and tell them that they will always be a part of my life. Then I will go on to my home where I still have three other beautiful children and tell them that no matter what life holds for you, there is nothing as important as your family and to always treasure each and everyday that you have with them, for there is no better time to remember that it is not the material gifts that will bring the joy into your heart, but your wonderful family.
