so ok - things got weird on me so I want to tell you what happened so you won't think I was trying to cheat. I started playing this morning- then had to leave the desk so I just left the game on. I came back several hours later and noticed there was only 2 hrs. left to play so I got right back into the game. didn't do too badly- but doubted I would win- ended up with a little over 8 I think. Just as I finished playing, I hit the button and suddenly it said on the screen "sorry- you have to log in to play this screen!" I was horrified to say the least! So I thought well surely it recorded my game and I went into the contest room and clicked on the link. And saw that I had a little over an hour left to play, and 20 cards left to play. LOL! OMG! I could not believe my eyes. So I played the 20 cards and ended up with a lower score! Cripes! So now I am goimg to go put my motorcycle helmet on so as not to do too much damage while I am slamming my head into the wall...good luck roomies!
Hi irishgilly2
1 of 2 things can cause that , neither are related to the game
are you an AOL user? if so it could be to do with the way AOL changes IP addresses,
but most likely it's to do with the forum session settings ,
TDTAT if you look at the session settings in the admin panel click General Admin on the left then scroll down the right side of the page and look under Cookie settings is Session length it's set for a number of seconds the player is logged in for with no activity usually something like 3600 (ie 1 hour) , this will be a problem for long tournaments if people aren't aware that they need to quit the game if they have to leave their computers for a while during tournaments then log back in to continue playing the tournament
unfortunately there's no way for the game to know you have been timed out by the forum ,also built into the game and game page are anti cheat features to do with forum sessions and other things I won't go into to try and keep the scores valid
If you have to leave please use the quit button in the game the bingo and the keno both remember how many cards you have played so that when you come back you will have the remaining number of cards left , ie if it's 100 card game and you only play 2 and have to go when you come back and log in you will have 98 cards left to play .
The keno game will have the option to be set in the admin panel to be either a normal tournament for tournament dollars or be set to a number of cards to play TDTAT will inform you what the rules are when she sets the tournament
