Fact: I also have 2 outside feral cats , They are so cute and spoiled. I keep 2 different kinds of dry cat food out for them plus everyday around the same time i give them soft food and if i am late they let me know it....LoL. We have had them here for around 8 to 10 years now. When they were little we had them all fixed. We had a cat she had 2 litters here but only 2 cats are left , don't know where the others went to. 
Shirls, How do you keeps the ants away.
Seriously, I feed three strays on my little 5 acre ponderosa, well, that's what we call it!
I put dry cat food out for them but the birds, but especially the ants seem to love it! I have sprayed and sprayed, but I think they are super ants. If you can help, I love these kittys!!!
WE HAVE THERE FOOD INSIDE OF A DOG HOUSE WHICH SITS ON A TABLE UNDER OUR PORCH. THE ANTS ARE NOT IN THERE FOOD BUT THEY SURE ARE ON THE PORCH FLOOR OF IT. I THINK THE REASON WHY THEY NOT IN FOOD IS BECAUSE THEY WOULD HAVE TO CARRY THE FOOD SIDEWAYS TO GET OUT OF DOG HOUSE. PLUS WE SPRAY THE LEGS OF THE TABLE AND THAT IS THERE ONLY WAY IN. HOPE IT HELPS.
