I agree TDTAT, having to get off the nicotine aids is not easy. I tried to get off them as quick as possible, because I knew as long as I was taking them, I would still have strong cravings. I also had to give up coffee and alcohol for a while, just so that the caffeine didn't trigger cravings, and the alcohol didn't lower my resistance. It is truly amazing how many reasons you can come up with for having "just one". And I just realized, I have been smoke-free for 9 years now, not 8. Gooooo me!!! smile


9 years, wow! Good for you. smile

I quit drinking also and cut way back on coffee. I may have a glass of wine on special occasions and at this point nothing makes me want to smoke a cigarette.

If someone says then need someone to talk to take a few seconds out of ur day to listen cause sometimes that's all they need is an ear and someone that cares to listen ! It may be the last time u hear there voice !
