i hate it. i figure that if sum1 loves me then they shouldnt have to have a day set aside to remind them. it should b like that all the time.

I just told my daughter(step) this yesterday. She has been worrying herself sick about if her new boyfriend is going to get her something and if he doesn't what should she do
She is thinking about going on a weekend long date with a different guy if he doesn't get her something.

From the start of their relationship he has treated her like a princess, cooking for her, cleaning her apartment, massages, nice restaurants... and has already bought her a very expensive watch.

I told her that she is being very shallow, immature(she's 28 y.o.) and unreal. And if she doesn't get it together, she is going to lose this man that she claims she likes ALOT.

I have never heard of someone determining whether they are going to continue getting to know someone and building what can be a beautiful, long-lasting relationship on something so stupid. I am just beside myself.

I have never expected a gift from anyone. If I want to give someone a gift I just give it to them without ever looking for anything in return and it doesn't have to be a man made holiday. I am a giver because it makes my heart feel good.

I Love Valentine's Day!!!!

I love the idea of it, everyone showing affection and lovey dovey towards their significant other, but, I hate that it takes a "special" day to inspire most to express their love or affection to someone they care for. Every day should be and could be Valentine's Day! (in my opinion)

But I did see the last part about you apologizing for the long post. This is what's nice about being here you can vent, get things off your chest, and you don't have to worry about being judged because no one knows you anyway.
