Good Morning Members. I am hoping someone can give me some advice please. Can I make my mash potatoes the day before Thanksgiving and reheat for Thanksgiving? If so how please. Doing Turkey and Ham and trying to figure out what sides I can do before, so it's not so hectic on the big day. Any ideas will help and thank you. Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving Everyone!!

happyone, there is no reason your can't cook and reheat mashed potatoes!!! I do it all the time. When you put them in to reheat, just be sure to add a bit more butter and milk, to make up for the moisture that has evaporated. Hope this helps!

Happyone, I agree with everything luckyma said. I have made potatoes the day before and then re-heated them in the oven, slow-cooker, or microwave. The trick is to stir gently, so as not to end up with gooey, sticky potatoes. Definitely add a bit more milk, butter, and salt. Enjoy!

Happyone, I agree with luckyma and kaymast I would use the microwave 1 min. at a time adding milk & butter as needed. Be careful when using the microwave cause if you cook to long with out stirring the sides will get all dried out and than you will have dried out clumps. Hope this helps. Happy Thanksgiving smile
