Good for you kaymast!!!! Just hang in there, you will get through it, and be so glad you did! I will say this again, if I, a former 3 to 4 pack a day smoker can go cold turkey and get through it, anyone can. You just have to hang tough, and not listen to your mind trying to trick you into having, "just one". You are doing great, and the worst is almost over!

SadieMadie, it really isn't!!! It is hard, no question about it, but if you plan ahead for a quit date, keep telling yourself leading up to that date that you are going to succeed this time, make sure you get in some aid, like nicotine gum, or lozenge or spray, and some candy, or regular gum, you can succeed if you just start. No one believed I could quit, including me, but I was determined to try, and to my surprise, it stuck!!! You just have to try!!!

Today is my last day of smoking , walmart finally called and said my patches are in and ready for pick up. Hooray !! My boyfriend is using patches also and is doing great on them. I just hope i can to. smile

Doing well on New Year's resolution, sure is tough at times. Hubby isn't having cravings as bad as me, but he is having terrible insomnia/anxiety at night which he's never had before. He won't take meds because he's afraid he'll get addicted to them smile It's hard to watch, hopefully will pass soon. 12 days no cigs. smile



so sorry that your hubby is having a hard time.

congrats on your 12 days. woohoo keep going strong. smile
