This recipe makes the best deviled eggs I have ever tasted and it's my go to recipe for family gatherings. I'm making them for Thanksgiving! I put a sliver of bacon and small piece of chive on top so everyone calls them "fancy deviled eggs".
Also, I chop up a bit of bacon and add it to the mix in addition to using bacon as garnish (I also add the chives to the mixture). I use costco's microwave bacon so it's one less step to make everything faster.
Loaded Deviled Eggs
Makes: 24
INGREDIENTS
12 eggs, hard-boiled
½ cup sour cream
½ cup cooked bacon, chopped
¼ cup chives, finely chopped
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Chopped bacon, for garnish
Chives, for garnish
O yea, thanks TDTAT I'm gonna try them.

You know, our Thanksgiving is over, but with all the talk about the U.S. Thanksgiving, I am thinking, maybe another turkey is in order. Any excuse for turkey!!!
I love 'TURKEY' too luckyma, it's funny how even the grocery stores don't think much about having it around until the holidays.......
O yes I agree debidug, love my turkey. Thanksgiving & Christmas favorite holidays!!

kcbaby62, I hope you like them!
I would add that they are best when really cold and add the bacon garnish at the last minute so that it's crunchy.

I actually cooked a turkey last Saturday because they were on sale for 57 cents a pound! That's cheaper than dog food.
I wish they were available all year at that price. So cheap!

Gonna give then a try...I usually make eggs for Easter but we are returning from vacation on that day. So maybe for Thanksgiving or Christmas

I saw turkeys at Shaw's for .39 lb. Yes cheaper than dog/cat food. Cuz ya' know we have to share with everybody!!!!
W buy the cooked whole chickens too. for 5.00 it isn't worth cooking. Serves a family of ten....me and the hubby, 6 cats, 1 dog, and one cockatoo. Yes he loves it too!!!!!!!!
It's funny, you can't even find turkeys during the year.....
Just sharing....one year I tried making oyster stuffing. Totally my favorite now. If I didn't make it, it would be like missing the turkey!!!!! LOL
